Donnelly's Shipping & Return Policy

Shipping and handling is not a profit center at Donnelly Chocolates. We pass on the costs and do not make a profit. Our chocolates have a shelf life at room temperature ranging from 10 days to 2 months. The shelf life depends on the ingredients. The shipping options available are chosen to ensure delivery of your chocolate in perfect condition and within their shelf life. When choosing the shipping method please consider these guidelines.

All year and to all delivery addresses it is best to send the chocolates to an address where there is someone available to accept the package. In the case of chocolates sent overnight express because of the warm weather it is required that the chocolates be sent to an address where there is someone to accept them. We can ship chocolates to a home or business address.

West Coast addresses in CA, WA or Or: Between November 1st and April 15th the shipping alternatives for all our chocolates are ground (usually two day delivery), 2nd day air or overnight air. Between April 16th and October 31st to ensure arrival in perfect condition our chocolates must be sent overnight express.

All other addresses within the 48 states: All boxes containing truffles or assorted chocolates must be sent 2nd day or overnight express. Between April 16th and October 31st or to addresses in warm locations our chocolates must be sent overnight express. Between November 1st and April 15th boxes not containing truffles or ganaches and not sent to warm destination addresses can be shipped on the ground.

Alaska: All chocolates may be sent 2nd day air or overnight express between November 1st and April 15th. Between April 15th and October 31st all chocolates must be sent overnight express.

Hawaii: All chocolates must be sent overnight express year round. The delivery companies do not guarantee next day delivery to Hawaii.

Please note in the list of choices that 2 day air is only delivered during the week and only week days are counted, hence a 2 day air box sent on Friday arrives on Tuesday.

Please note that overnight air shipments are only delivered weekdays unless Saturday delivery is chosen. This cost and extra $10. Hence, an overnight delivery sent on Friday will arrive on Monday unless Saturday option is mentioned during checkout.
